MOHAN USA — Our Mission (content only, no header/footer)
Our Mission

Saving Lives Through Organ Donation.

We believe that no one should die awaiting an organ, or have to buy one, or be reduced to poverty in their effort to survive the curse of terminal organ failure.

"Join us in supporting ethical organ donation and saving lives."

What We're Working Toward

The overall mission of MOHAN USA

Awareness, resources, and advocacy — all in service of making organ donation ethical, and transplants accessible, for every patient who needs one.

Close the awareness gap

Increase awareness of organ donation and address the discrepancy between patients awaiting transplants and people registered to donate.

Fund education

Raise resources for NGOs that promote education amongst the populace about organ donation and its related activities.

Fund research

Raise resources for organizations that promote research in the field of organ donation and related activities.

Better clinical outcomes

Raise resources for providing clinical technology and equipment that enhances organ transplant procedure outcomes.

Highlight the shortage in India

Increase awareness amongst the public about the critical shortages that exist in the field of organ donation in India.

Build the doctor network

Network with US health care professionals to raise awareness of the challenges facing end-stage organ failure patients in India, and elicit their support.

Equity for every patient

Ensure that life-saving transplants are accessible, affordable, and equitable for every citizen who needs one.

Our Partner

Our collaboration with MOHAN Foundation, India

A pioneer in promoting ethical organ donation in India since 1997, MOHAN Foundation's efforts have been credited with tripling the rate of deceased organ donations in Tamil Nadu — the highest rate in the nation.

The ANUDAAN program

Raises money for patients who cannot afford the organ transplants they need to survive.

Nationwide education

Hundreds of teaching sessions every year raise awareness about organ donation across India.

International recognition

An agreement with the NHS in the UK, and the British Medical Journal South Asia Award for Healthcare Advocacy.

Help make this mission possible.

Every donation supports awareness, research, and life-saving transplants for patients who couldn't otherwise afford them.
